Kayaks and water equipment can be rented from the City of New Buffalo at the public launch or from Red Arrow Ride- a beach gear outfitter.

  • Put ins: City of New Buffalo launch, Galien River County Park and Glassman Park.
  • Bald eagles, cranes and hawks can be observed along the Galien River. Geese and ducks populate the reeds.
  • The autumn migration of the monarch butterfly can be seen in a steady flow flitting along the Lake Michigan coastline.
