Country Chamber Marketing Policy
August 2005
The following marketing
policies were adopted and approved by both Harbor Country Chamber and
Lodging Association Boards of Directors.
Any or all Harbor Country®
marketing opportunities (e.g. the Harbor Country Visitor’s Guide
or any other printed or published materials, electronic via www.harborcountry.org
or any other audio/visual material or broadcast mediums, sponsorships
and/or any other public relations related opportunities, etc.) are available
only to Harbor Country Chamber of Commerce (HCCofC) and/or Harbor Country
Lodging Association (HCLA) members in good standing.
Marketing opportunities for in-area, general members in good standing:

Full
HC Guide advertising privileges
•
Full
display and outgoing member weblink privileges on www.harborcountry.org
(In-area membership is defined as any member located within the eight
officially designated Harbor Country communities of Michiana, Grand Beach,
New Buffalo, Union Pier, Lakeside, Harbert, Sawyer or Three Oaks, Michigan.)
Marketing opportunities for out-of-area members and/or
Neighbors of Harbor Country:
•
HC Guide display advertising space is limited
to non-profit, out-of-area, dues paying members only and/or out-of-area,
dues paying member advertisers who have concurrently reserved and paid
for, any and/or all ad space by the assigned due dates since 1/20/98.
Advertising on www.harborcountry.org or any other HCCofC/HCLA officially
authorized, electronic form of marketing is limited to purchases of outgoing
links to out-of-area member websites only. All pre-determined fees, rules
and other restrictions will apply.
The HCCofC/HCLA determines all ad and/or site content and maintains sole
and absolute discretion.
The HCCoC/HCLA will not be unduly influenced nor intimidated
by advertisers, sponsors, professional associations or others in presenting
any information and/or support material or in its marketing policy.
• All advertisements must be for lawful products
or services.
• The HCCofC/HCLA has sole and absolute discretion
in rejecting any advertisement, sponsorship or any other forms of promotional
material.
• The HCCofC/HCLA does not endorse any member, product
or service that promotes or advertises.
•Membership in good standing qualifies as members who have paid
all current association dues, debts, fees and/or any other financial responsibilities
to either the Chamber or Lodging Association.
